before...

Before having them put on feel the sidewalls and see if they are as thick as others. For some reason some of the KO's have thinner sidewalls that others of the same ply rating. My 33x10.50's had super thin sidewalls. I actually made costco buy them back from me. 3 of my original 4 had sidewall problems in the first 10,000 miles. they also wore way too fast. When BFG went with the KO's the rubber compund was softened to increase traction, and shorten tire life. Mine were 31% worn with only 12,000 miles on them when I sold them back to costco. But it's hit and miss my buddies 33x12.50's have a thicker sidewall and are wearing fine. I ended up getting some Toyo Open Country A/T's from Les Schwab, not only do I think they have better traction, they have a 50,000 mile warrenty ;-).

Just food for thought...hope you have btter luck with BFG than I did.:pat:

Hey KNemo,

Did you get em yet? I have the 265/75/16 At/ko's as well, and mine rubbed a little. Like when I took sharp corners, they would pull part of the running boards back.

I wonder if you had any problems...
Also, what PSI are you running? when they put mine on they were at 42!!! I think that's a little too much, so now I am down to 33

I wish we had Costco around here. It sounds like there are a lot of deals to be had there. I do have 3 wall-marts and a sam's club (pop. 40k people!)

I ran them

Costco put them at 35 lbs..which caused the tire to only run on the middle 5 inches of tread..so I ran them at 26-28 and they were great. Thats another thing about BFG's, they mold the tire so it isn't a flat footprint???

Huh? I think probably 1/4 of the members here run BFG products. I'm on my second set of BFG AT's. Got 40K miles out of the first set and will likely get around that on the 2nd set. The BFG's react well like most of the other makes to proper inflation, proper alignment and reasonable street driving. Next time, I might go a different direction just to be different...

I can't wait until I can get a set of those. I have the Radial Long Trails and they are great, just don't look very cool. I am glad I got those though, because of the 40+ miles that I commute everyday, but that will end at the end of this month, and then I can get some beefier ones! Show us some pictures. :fireman:

im getting new tires soon too

might have to go with the 32x12.5 super swamper TSLs just for the heck of it.

but....... will probably get some less agressive tires just for the increased tread life. BFG muds probably.

my dad has some ATs and they look good. got them with installation for 600 bucks. 265/75R16s. now thats a deal.

I loved my KO's on my 88 until I replaced them with the MT KM's and love them even more. When the stock tires wear out on my 02 runner, I plan on trying the Revo's out. The 02 Taco will get the KO's when the stock tires go.

I dont have one bad story about my KOs and i had 2 sets of them. I drive on pavement and gravel when Im not off the road and they have worn very even and slow. I do go peelin wheels or anything either. I run 35 in the front and 40 in the rear and everything but the side wall teeth are on the pavement. With the mix of wet snow we get any mud I havnt had a single gripe. To me the revo doesnt have enought aggression.
