I thought I was getting a new '04 Tacoma DC...
Truck finally in.
But my dealer tried playing games.
Out of blue our verbal agreement(first mistake) on a Toyota tonneau cover,cargo holder and remote start at dealers cost somehow doesn't fly now.
My '99 Pre Runner trade in number all of a sudden is lower.
The reciept gave a number but it said subject to final inspection.(second mistake).
In other words they have a buyer for the truck that will pay more than me.
Seems silver Tacoma loaded TRD DC's with chrome packages are hard to find here.
I can get silver with the paint package but I want the chrome.
At this point I don't know whether to get a '04 oer wait for the '05.
An '05 won't be discounted as much,if any.
Also no low financing.
I was told it's the first a rebate or the 1.9% low financing was offered on a Tacoma..
One thing for sure I won't buy from this dealer.

I used to sell cars, and my recommendation is to go to a different dealership on the last day of the month about 3-4 hours before they close, have a printed out invoice sheet from KBB, tell them what you want, what you are willing to pay, the finance rate you deserve, and tell them that you'll buy it right now if they'll do it.
Chances are, you'll get the deal, no problems! Do all the paperwork, pending a final inspection, give them a $500-1000 deposit, and the truck will be yours when it comes in.
