What are you going to be putting it on? You posted in the 95.5- 04 Taco/ 96-02 4Runner section, so I'm guessing a 3.4 engine. If that's the case, go with the TRD Supercharger and a kit from URD Racing ... link http://www.urdusa.com/product_info.p..._id=1230100017

If you have an auto tranny, you will want to upgrade the VB, costs around $700 iirc

Look on ebay, by far the best selection and best prices on superchargers. I got mine for $300, then had it rebuilt for another $300 so i had a like new SC for $600. Though that is pretty rare.

I see them on ebay all the time for $1000 or so, depends on what gas prices are doing at the tiem.

Just a few weeks ago i saw an ENTIRE supercharger setup with the URD pulleys, 7th injector kit, the whole nine yards, all new, for only $3000. thats the price of the new superhcarger and you got all the extras free.

So keep an eye out on ebay and craigslist, they pop up all the time.

Just checked out your build thread slacker; quite an endeavour. Looks like you've got all your bases covered and have a good start (especially the s/c now).

Good luck with that project!

Is the one that most use. They charge about $300 for a rebuild and another $300 if you want new roots (basically making your SC brand new, you don't need the roots though, you just lose a little boost without them).

Thats real high for a 1st gen supercharger, you can get 2nd gen superchargers on ebay for under $1500 all day long and if you keep an eye out finding one for $1000 is not hard.

You got that right!

Waiting for my new Assualt rifle to get in actually then will have to grab the guys and go blow away some prerie dogs! should be in any day now.

See that is a better price there. though it doesn't say if it is a 1st or second gen. I would not pay more then about $500 for a 1st gen unless it was new or almost new.
