I put a 99 fat lip bumper on a 97
Have a few pictures, will post sometime, sooner if there is interest. Wasnt too hard, I had cut my fat lip bumper off when I put on my ARB, so I had all the frame end plates. And the crush zone.
Basically You need to weld on the end plates, then drill like 4 holes in the bumper, then Bolt it up, Looks great!!

Working on the pics, they are from my phone so It takes a bit. Ill have to go swing by his truck and get some better pictures of the finished product, and the attachment. Ill get those after class, but for now these will have to do.
Here it is with stock bumper removed
Here it is with the fat lip bumper mounting in place. When I did it, for ease, I left the stock endcaps on, then drilled holes in the FL(fatlip) bumper flanges. The FL bumper flanges are much bigger. I thought the stock screws that hold on the Old bumper crush areas might be strong enough to hold the FL mount, but they were not, so I welded it to the stock endcaps.
Due to most likely my haste, I ended up only being able to line up Two holes on the new flange with the crush area. I just drilled out new holes using the crush area holes as a guide. Wasn't hard at all. Once it is all welded up, the bumper just basically screws on! You can drill a hole on the FL bumper to make it mount in tow more spots, but I didn't have bolts to put through this hole, so i didnt, and it is still plenty stable!
the left side is weird because he rear ended someone, thats why we did the swap.
Ignore the differnt color paint, that will change soon
