I see them all the time. There's a house right by me that has two lifted and heavily modded 1st gens parked outside every day. Would you guys agree that, aside from MAYBE jeeps, toyotas are the best 4x4 vehicles out there?

Gosh, I have a 4th gen parked two stalls from me, and a 1st gen next building over.

When I am cruising my town, I see tons of 1st, 2nd, and third gens just about every minute.
My town is very Toyota 4x4.

I see a little bit of each everyday, it's mainly Tacomas in my area but me and one other guy are the only ones I know of in my town with a modded 3rd gen 4Runners. I see too many soccer moms driving 4th genners. I would love to see more people like Rocky with modded 4th gens.

toyota trucks definitely aren't the most common thing on the road up here, but they are far from uncommon. that being said, i live about a half hour from the US border and it's like as soon as I cross that border, toy trucks seem to swarm at me. they're everywhere in washington state.

which are you talking about, 1st gen truck or 4runner? there's TONS of 4runners, and 2nd and 3rd gen trucks around here. used to be all kinds of 1st gen trucks about 5 years ago, most mustve gotten snatched up when rockcrawling became a craze and mashed up on the trail...

there are VERY few first gen trucks and runners around here. so few that my runner gets looks even when its stock and is recognizable everywhere i park. Whenver i do see a first gen they are always rust buckets..haha mine was one of those before the body work was done on it

there are TONS of 3rd and 4th gen runners here...so many its unbeliveable..there are so many silver 3rd gen runners its rediculus..my dad and a thousand other peopel around here have them.

don't see all that many 4th gen 4runners in these parts yet. noticing a lot more new tacos though -- and they all seem to be that silver color. and they're HUGE

i had a guy ask me if my truck was for sale at the jack in the box drive thru window the other day

down here in Vancouver WA toys are everywhere, more late model runners and tacomas, but the first gens are also very common, especially when you get farther away from the city. i think WA is probably the toyota mecca of the US.

well think about it. seattle is probably one of the closest big port towns to japan. also quite a few chevy luv pickups and ford couriers here compared to the rest of the country.

I miss my old '82 long bed. 4" lift, 33s, 4.88s, Jacobs ignition, Gibson exhaust. Except for being terribly unreliable (broke down everytime I drove it more that 100 miles straight, 2 water pumps, tranny input shaft, etc), slows as heck, no power steering. It was beige and I spray painted black rally stripes on it. It's passed through 2 more of my friends (and of course, they had not problems with it since I had replaced everything). The second guy put power steering on it, and I think he still has it. I miss factory SFA toys.
