I need some info on how to fix this

hey there all i have a 94 toyota pickup 4WD my question is sometimes when i idle it will start to rev itself up and down without me giving it any gas...now is this normal or do i need to fix something and if so...what? thanks for the help

Check your vacuum lines. Pulsing is usually a sign of a vacuum leak.

I'd give Ghost Busters a call.

Seriously, it does sound like a vac leak.

I had the same exact problem with my Runner a couple of months ago. It got to the point where it would jump up and down so bad that it would drive me crazy; not to mention feeling like it was going to stall on me at times. What my mechanic and I did was adjust the valves; over time they had gotten very stiff and weren't opening and closing as precisely as they should be. This cured the problem instantly and the truck idles perfectly.

Definitely check the vac lines first, and if that seems to be fine you may want to look into this.

yeah its defienatly the vacum leaks..... mine did the same thing, good luck
