Adjust your rear drums, I bet your parking brake is not very tight.

The sound seems to come from the front.

A single click noise after you change directions (forwards/reverse) when parking isn't a problem. It's usually caused by pads that don't sit super tight in the caliper. When you change directions, the pads shift slightly (like 1/32" or something) and make the click noise.

Not a big deal. Certainly not a safety issue.

Happening to me too, definitely from the front. I had the brakes/rotors replaced 2,000 mi. ago. I also recently had the parking brake cable and handle replaced, in case there is a connection.

Any thoughts greatly appreciated!

A clicking or banging sound is normal when "breaking". A clicking sound when braking on the other hand...
Sorry.

Yep, clicks when I step on the brake pedal. The parking brake seems a bit tight, barely 12-13 clicks on it.

12-13 clicks??? wow! your parking brake is too loose... it should be no more than 7 clicks..

x2= times 2 = mee too.

some clickin noise during breaking is normal, but to satisfy your concern, you should get under there make sure everything is tight. check bolts, tie rods, wheel bearings, lift the front end, and check for any excessive play.

Add me to the list, my front brake pads always click when I back out of the garage in the morning. Only seems to happen in reverse when I first apply the brakes.

Mine click and groan. It just started happening this year. I'm not too sure its coming from the calipers or brakes though.
