How wide???Gen 3 2wd?
How wide can I go in the rims on a gen 3 2wd.
And whats the biggest rim/ tire combo?
Anyone know what the bolt pattern/ offset I should be looking for?

Aweful broad question with the information (or lack thereof) given.
As wide as you want or want to make fit
53" Michelin's on 20×12" rims
6 on 5½", unsure of the stock backspacing but it should be around 4½".
Sorry, couldn't resist on some of those questions. A little more info would help: stock or lifted (how much?), width within fenders or a little protrusion allowed, etc.

sorry about being so broad on the topic. Im running stock height, right now. Stock rims 16x7 with a Yokohama AVS 265/70/R16. 1997 3.4L 4runner 2wd.
I gotta get new tires soon. And at the prices I paid for the yokos here in hawaii, I might as well get rims/ tires.
Im looking at 2 ends of the scale though with rims/ tires. I might wanna go up to 20s, but the only 20s I found are 20x8.5. From what I understand the widest I heard fit with no rubbing is 7.5. So that lead me to buying smaller rims. I was looking at somthing in the 16-18 range. But I like wide. So I want to stay was wide as possible. Without rubbing on the running board or the front bumper ends.
Thanks for the help guys

I have 16x8's on 265/75/16 (soon to be 285's), and there is no normal rubbing. There is however rubbing when the tire stuffs a LOT. This is pretty rare, as it's only done it once. After my lift and pounding (&285's), there should be no rubbing.
