How often do you snap 99 runner front sway bar links?

I just snapped my first one last week. I'm surprised it took 5 yrs to do it.
Funniest part.........going to toyota stealership and getting a "quote " on the
snapped part.
110.00 !!!!!!!!!!!

without rubber bushings or washers!!
I laughed and walked away. Even the sales dude was speechless.
I'll install a 25.00 autozone replacement......thanks.
I figure I'm still ahead of the game if I snap 1 per year1 lol!

Naw, he was wrong. I snapped mine when I still had sway bars. Actually that was the main reason I took them off - I was sick of bending and finally breaking them.

If you're lifted, it makes it a lot easier to snap them.

I snapped the sway bar on my 93 4Runner the first time I wheeled it. Didn't notice till I was replacing a CV a couple weeks later.

I snap mine oh.....once in 10 years. they rusted, and every weekend I run the
rig through maximum articulation when going up and down my driveway
(which is a washed out and bouldered skidder tote road)

I've done 2 in 3 years - last time I was under there the older of the two new ones looked like it was about half gone.
