How long will that engine go?

I have a 91 Reg. Toyota and have almost 203K on the engine. How many miles have you guys put on your Yota that are really high? Will i be able to get it to 250K if it doesnt start burning oil by then?

6 cylinder or 4 cylinder?

You should be able to tell just how strong it is.

If you feel like the engine is getting kind of lousy, then more than likely it will not get to 250K.

If you feel that it still has that bit a power you need, then I would assume you have a great possibility to get there.

By no means, is this a professional answer.

'83 22R pick-up. Sold about a yr. ago. Had a hair over 300,000 miles on it. It's still running.

It's all about the 2 "F" words.

Fluids 'n Filters.

Plus

Coolant - drain once a year. Radiator and block. Flush both ways. Use 50/50 coolant & distilled water. I replace t-stat when I do this. Cheap insurance.

Outer belts every 3 yrs. or so

Transmission fluid/oil + filter if you have one once a yr.

Differentail gear oil - change once a yr.

Brake fluid - flush/bleed every couple of yrs.

Adj. valves once a yr.

Spark plugs once a yr.

Rotate tires a couple of times a yr. or more if you like.

Power steering fluid - flush/refill if you have it - check grease in steering box a couple of times a yr.

Don't drive the thing like you race for a living.
