How do you tell if the Timing Belt and Water Pump has been replaced?

Yesterday I removed the Timing Belt Cover to see if the Timing belt and water pump had been replaced. There was no cause for me to need to check other than the fact that when I bought the 4Runner last year in May, it had 111k miles and I didn't have information on what type of work was done to it. So I looked yesterday and saw that in relief, the Timing Belt was like new (and glossy, which was a new look condition and the teeth were perfect with no cracks on the belt) and I peeked to see that the water pump looks fairly new.

That's what I'm asking about. The Water Pump looked new compared to the other components. Is my assumption correct??? There are no leaks, and the 4Runner does not leak coolant.

Any advices or opinions would be nice. I don't want to remove the Radiator hose and everything to look further in. Usually you can just tell from a peek through.

(Usually when the Timing Belt is replaced, you replace the Water pump and Thermostat correct? )
Thanks

no leaks

and water stays around 188 degrees all the time

then do not worry

No it is not normal to replace the water pump and thermostat unless there
is an actual problem. they are both "lifetime" partz

Theres usualy and then theres fix only what you need. Best time to replace the pump is while doing the belt but doesnt mean that the person did or would. Sounds like you should be fine and I really wouldnt worry about either right now. Sounds like the belt is in real good condition and the pumps I would not worry about until you start having issues with leaks and cooling problems.

Save the money or send it my way

Haha, thanks for the info guys.
It adds on to a relief that the cooling will be fine.
Take care

id like to think that its a lifetime part, but its not. same thing for the fuel filter.
