Were you low on gas? The pickup tube might have been left high and dry.

I have done some very step hill climbs (in the 50-60 degree range) and haven't had any problems. Mine have been around a mile long at this grade. How long of a hill climb & how steep are you talking?

I am EFI & no problems, but now you have me wondering about oil starvation becuase I do them in 4 low 2nd gear & high RPMs

Shouldn't starve for oil on a steep climb.
At 3/4 tank the fuel pickup should be good.
If the battery shifted, you'd know it...
Did you maybe just stall it?
Did it restart promptly?

Nope a good 3000 rpm all the way up. I call the truck my little mountain goat, she will go up stuff that I wouldn't even think of. Yup thats right, the pucker factor.

it's auto v6....i did not stall....oil was just changed....not close to a mile long run, maybe 3-400 yards.....battery could have shifted a bit, maybe....never had an issue with that before and i do a lot of punding...it was steep, i could not walk up it at all and i'm very fit....i really dont know but this scares me....the only back country wheeling places in southern california is the mountains that the tractors go to, to put up electric lines and junk......so there is never a flat ground....sometimes a 2-3 mile up hill grade...if i go rolling down that it.....*^&#^(*^.........if it is not a issue i can fix and it's just a mystery, i will sell that bad boy and start over.....PLEASE HELP...I DONT WANT TO START OVER

Is this a 5 spd? It'll do that sometime...that's why you need crawler gear
