Highest suspension lift 02 runner

Howzit guys new here.

was looking to find out if i could do a 6 inch suspension lift on my 2002 4runner, i searched and seen alot of third gen 6 inch suspension stuff but none on 02's...Also called my local 4wheelparts store and a guy told me that they only could do a 3inch in susp. 3 inch body to get my 6in desire Unless i did serious mods?? couldnt really believe him knowing how many 3rd gen writeups that tried this.. just wanted to confirm if i could get a 6inch suspension lift on a 02 and prob slap 1 or 2 inch body with some fat 33 tires. I know it aint the thing for most of you guys. haha Thanks guys!!

With simple bolt on parts/swaps you are not going to get 6" suspension lift. If you want to spend some cash on axle swaps you can do whatever you want.

But if you are only looking to do 33's there's no reason to go that high. I ran 33's with a 1" BL and SAW's/LC coils. I did not even need the BL, but that's what came on the truck when I bought it. I moved up to 35's and had rub on my front mudflaps and that was all.

I have been running 33's for about 5 months with no lift at all. My is a 99 so that may have something to do with it. Just had to do a little plastic trimming.

com'on guys, forget the final tire size and who fits what. He said himself its not the thing for most of us. If he wants 6 inches of lift lets help him get it.

I've heard that you can only go about 3 inches on the factory cv axles before they become unusable and unsafe. But that is with a big MAYBE. I don't pay attention to ifs stuff so its just something I heard along the way. I think the only way around it is to either spend a bunch of money upgrading your ifs, swapping in a solid front axle or put a body lift under it to make up the difference. I'm guessing bodylift is your best bet. Whats your purpose for the lift and tires? Maybe someone knows a better way to accomplish the final goal.

You could go with a bracket lift for a tacoma and LC coils and a spacer (if needed) in the rear.

I hope you enjoy the Revtek lift better than I did as it really stiffens up the front end a lot! I hated the ride from it.

Nah I go rid of it a long time ago and went with the Tundra/LC coil set-up. It's so much better. I did the research and put it together myself but you can check out Sonoran Steel's website and order to complete set from them: http://www.sonoransteel.com/index.ph...ndex&cPath=1_2
