Guys, I can get a black 48" hi-lift jack for $50, or I can get a 60" hi-lift in black for $50. Both are the same price...

Help me out guys. What are the pro's and con's?

I figure I might as well get the 60" - I mean, why not?

I want to mount it behind the rear seats horizontally.

I used a 48" this past weekend and for a jack I cant see any toyota needing the 60" as a jack..Its so damn big and mounting would be a problem for me.

maybe if you use it as a winch.

the 60" wont fit horizontally behind your seats. ive got the 48" and it fits PERFECTLY. personally i dont see a need for the 60", the 48" reaches my sliders, and anything else i want to mount it to with no problems at all.

my vote it for the 48"

get the 48 and it will hit perfectly across the back of your truck. Also you can get the red one "all cast" for around $40 something at tractor supply

I doubt the 60" will mount horizontally behind the seats, the 48" is really long. If you have a Tractor Supply Co. near you I would try them, they had a half off sale on them the other day and you could get one for like $25. The only downside I see to the 60" is that it is going to be huge. My 48" is huge and I would hate to think I had to lug around a 60". My vote is the 48".

Hmmm, great. Now I dont know. 48"...but what color...is all cast really that great?

well since your mounting it inside the cab, i dont really think the coating on it will matter much. it will be out of the weather (not much in AZ) and unseen until you actually take it out to use it. i know you are really accustomed to black, but for a hi-lift it just doesnt matter much past personal preference

So Brian's mount is needed to make it work right with my stubbs sliders? Will the hi-lift nail my rocker panel?

I plan on getting the 48" one.

I think my girlfriend would feel weird if I got the 60" model; as she's 4'11" (5' if you ask her).

60 is heavy and overkill. If you actually need a 60'' for the truck you have (no offense, but its not on 45'' tires), then a highlift aint the answer.

It'll sag your rear more than anything...so get the 48

I just went with a 48" all cast.
It does what I want it to do, can fit inside the cargo area ala Steve's mount, mount outside and is much lighter.

The only advantage I really see in the 60" (unless you have a crazy lift) is in the real rocky areas and you flat where a 48"er wont reach the ground, or while winching with the Hi-Lift (with the 60"er you will have to reposition less often).
