Help Shock life expectancy???
How long do shocks last ? I have a DD with Rancho RS5000's that have been on for approx 5yrs / 70k. I'm noticing a vibration from the truck @ 45-65mph that will not go away with constant balancing of the tires (done with the adapter and road force, rims and tires are true, I "think" I know this to be the case because I help my Toy mechanic friend do them at the dealer so I get to see the readings). Could the shocks be going bad and causing the vibration, feels like a shimmy, shake from all 4 sides but not at the same time? Some speeds at the front, some at the back. Someone chime in and let me know where I should start looking to find the culprit, before my insides vibrate me to death or I get a speeding ticket driving 75mph just avoid the vibes.
Thanks
Also I can't seem to remember if the RS 5000's have a warrenty or not??

I've had my Rancho's on for 7 years now and have not had any problems as of yet. I don't believe they have a lifetime warrenty but you can pull up their website to find out. As for the shocks being worn out, I have always read that you can push down on the corner of the bumper real hard and if it bounces more than a few times then the shocks are bad. Try it. Hope this helps.

thanks paul
FYI This is what I got off of the rancho web site
RS5000/RS5600/RS9000X LIMITED LIFETIME WARRANTY
Limited lifetime warranty on these Rancho shock absorbers, Rancho Industries warrants each new shock against factory defects in material and workmanship (except for finish, including the shock boot) for as long as the original retail purchaser owns the vehicle on which the units were originally installed.
