Help with rear brake line

Help with rear brake line

Here is my problem. I am trying to install a sonoran steel #1 kit on my 98 4RUNNER. I need to replace the the brake line but the nut from the hard line into the flexible line is stripped. I have sprayed it twice with PB Blaster and let it sit for an hour between applications. I even went and bought a $20 dollar 10mm wrench made just for this application. The nut is just to soft. It just rounds off. There is also not a whole lot of room to work in there. Any one have any ideas on how to fix this issue. Can I just cut the flexible hose in half and some how twist it off the hard line once its free? Or do I need to look into buying a new section of hard brake line. I would prefer not to do this option due to the fact that the brake line runs along the frame rail next to the gas tank and there is no room to work in there. Please help. This is my daily driver and its already past noon here.

You are going to need a new nut on that line if it is stripped.

I haven't done it, but I think it would work - If you are putting on longer flex line you can cut the line right behind the nut. Get a new nut and a flare tool to fix the line..

I did a google search for you and found this.

A small visegrip may work to remove it then you will need to flare the line out.
