Help with Lockright Locker 1620

Hello everyone! I justgot my new 4.88 gears, now I need help deciding whick locker should I get. I have in mind the Lockright by powertrax $250.00 shipped. Know it is my understanding that this locker is intended for applications that are mainly used for offroad only. Since I also used my truck as a daily driver, is this locker a good option? How does the driveability of the truck be affected? How about while driving on snow or wet roads? Also how loud is this locker? Thanks!!

The snow takes a little finesse, in the rain if you want to you can pretend you have a 450hp, and on a real tight dry corner you push the clutch in to avoid hopping.

I daily drive mine with a locker and hardly ever bugs me except when making real tight turns and u-turns, but then again I'm not to concerned with having a super comfortable truck.

Every real locker will pop every now and then but its not very often somedays it doesn't make a peep. If you want a locker and all the good of both worlds then get an E-locker or an ARB air locker it is worth every penny, thats my next mod out with the detroit and in with ARB.

Thanks Black 1985! I'm not really too concern about the noise, I was more concern about driveability, since sometimes the wife will drive the truck. Like you mentioned, it is a truck, I'm not too concern with having a comfortable truck either. Thank you for taking the time to post on this thread!!

Do a search on Lockers FAQ. Ton's of good information as well as members experiences with different lunchbox lockers. Driveability issues as well as mechanical issues are all covered. You can also search for ARB, Detroit, E-lockers and so on.
