Help! I need to buy an E-locker Fast!
Hey everyone, I'm getting the 90 Runner SR5 (5 spd manual) outfitted with 4:88's front and rear in less than a week. I need to find an E-Locker that will mate up in there ASAP! Any help you may offer will be greatly appreciated. I tried to search the threads for a good parts yard. I remember reading a thread last week maybe about a good one maybe in colorado?? I forgot to bookmark it and now I can't find that thread. I know this topic has been discussed on here almost daily, sorry for not havin my act together better on this score.
Thanks again,
-Dan

Can you be more specific? an ARB air locker would require some pretty serious mods as well. From a thread on the board today it's mentioned that all runners through 2002 have basically the same rear end housing so the only "mod" part would be wiring in the switch and mounting it. Am I way out to lunch on this?

To fit the TRD E-locker, you need to modify your axle housing. For a write-up look in the tech section here for one. I plan to put in a E-locker also and regear to 4.56's.

Your also gonna have to get a new gear set, they are different and won't bolt up.

if they all (runners 84-02) have 8" housings why won't that work?
and if it will work, where can I find one?

Ok now I'm trackin. Marlin, ....Got it. Ya they make it. Ouch we're talkin over a grand right there. Hmmm I'll have to think extra hard about that one. And you guys were exactly right, the housing does need a fair amount of modification. Nothing too terrible though. Thanks for the help Guys. Much appreciated.
