Also try rotating the axle a few degrees, try again, repeat until it pops out.

I've came across this a few times at work. The best solution I've found is to use a pickle fork and a 5 lb. mini sledge hammer to jar it out. This only works if you are replacing the whole axle though and not just putting a boot. I would recommend buying your own pickle fork instead of using a "loan-a-tool" from autozone or somewhere because you WILL damage the prongs on the fork.

May have to turn it a bit, make sure it's the right one. Measure the old cv shaft and compare it to the new one. Depending on where you got it from (autozone, napa, etc.) they may have given you the wrong one.

I had trouble getting mine to go in when I replaced them. I found that the retaining or snap rings that are located on the end of the shaft were spread out too far. I took them off and put the old snap rings on and the axle popped in with no problem. Good luck.

You can also put it in as far as it will go--then refit the knuckle/hub and press on it to get it to go in--

You seem to be having alot of problems

Also, try to put the snap ring on top of the axle, when its hanging down below the axle it sticks out farther and is harder to get the axle in all the way.

Yeah, much of this is covered in writeups here and there. Give it a whack...
