Hella, what beam ?
Been following the Hella 500 thread... I'm interested in what beam everyone likes ? Fog or Driving....
I'm mainly wanting Aux lights for country roads at night (like to see deer on the side of the road @ high speeds).... But, while browsing a site, I kind like the Hella Rallye 4000 "Cornering Beam." It looks like you get the distance of the driving/pencil with the width of the fogs.

A driving beam won't give you much added visibility on the side of the road, but a fog beam won't give you much usable visibility at high speeds.
Like you, I spend a lot of time on dark back country roads where deer are an issue. I went with the Hella 4000s in the Euro beam and I'm very happy with them. I think they are the best of both worlds - they do give some added visibility along the side of the road (especially if you aim them slightly wider of center), and they shoot forever down the road. IMO, the Euro beam is the best all purpose beam.
