Hella Micro DE
So I get a decent deal on a set of Hella Micro DE foglights which, ICBW, will fit in the OEM 99 bumper. No, this is not the Toyota dealer optional kit, instead it is an off the shelf kit.
As I read the instructions, the lamps are intended to be horizontally mounted, but the bumper mount is rotated 90 degrees. If mounted this way, the light pattern would be up and down in front of the car, instead of side-to-side, thus defeating the foglight use, but giving great light for scaling walls.
The connector also does not fit. Not a big deal, as I can cut and splice and appropriate connector.
So for those of you with the Hella kit (dealer option or otherwise), is your lense grid vertical or horizontal looking from the front of the car?
I can take apart the Hella and perhaps rotate the grid, or build an L bracket for proper orientation, or sell the kit and find something else.
