Headunit finally installed with Metra Dash kit

After my complete fiasco with the American International dash kit, here is a picture of my Clarion 835mp headunit with the Metra 99-8206 dash kit. Everything came out nice, and I just need to tweak the color a litte bit so it will match the factory amber color better. Take my advise, stay away from American International dash kit until they fix the problem, there is at least one clueless person working there. :pat:

do you have any other pics

Hey man I'm thinking of installing the same head unit and receiver. I was excited to see that you already did it and was wondering how you like the stereo? quality and install. Do you have any other pics?

Thanks,

Greg

You realize you just revived a 6yr old thread right?? I'm sure things have improved upon since then. Plus the 4th gen has it's own section now...

Crutchfield.com and your local Best Buy, Circuit City and Wal-Mart stores carry wiring harnesses.

im still trying to figure out which system I have in my runner it has the two atenna plug ins and has 4 plugins on the wires I bought the wiring harness @ walmart and 3 of them fit but the other 1 wouldn't fit. I found something on the net but it has 4 rca plug ins and like a box and 1 harness plug in? I have been searching and can't figure nothing out on it. On the back of the wiring harness pack it said not for use on jbl radio sythensis so thats why I figured what I had. Got n-e ideas?

What year is your 4Runner? I can only assume you drive a 4th gen since you mentioned having a jbl HU (and since the original poster who you were replying too had a 4th gen). In that case, create a new thread w/ your question here: http://www.toyota-4runner.org/forumdisplay.php?f=3. Not trying to steer you away from this site, but that site gets a lot of 4th gen traffic...I'm sure they could help you out.

You can post here on YT as well, just need to do it in the correct section as you posted in the 3rd gen section currently. Try here instead: https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f117/.

Edit: Have you tried using Metra's site to find the correct wiring harness: http://www.metraonline.com/fit.aspx
