Head Gasket Paranoia '88 4Runner
I am getting some white exhaust from my new 4Runner (yes it has the infamous 3.0). After reading all the head gasket posts I'm not sure if I'm developing paranoia/hyperchondra about the head gaskets on my ride. It doen't smell bad, how much "smoke" would there be? Its also sack shrinking cold here if that makes a difference.

Well, White exhuast or a white tinted exhaust is a given in any cold weather. Check your oil to see what colour it is. I do believe that if you have an HG problem it would be a Chocolate milk colour. Somebody can correct me if I'm incorrect. But if it were me and you have no problems or no loss of power or any of that. Then I wouldn't worry to much about it.

Had some of the "milkshake" on the oil filler cap. The guy at the parts store I was at told me that this was no big deal and as a result of normal condensation. The big problem would be "milkshake" on the dipstick. What do you think? Anyone else got the sludge on their filler cap bottom?

That's what Toyota told me about my VIN as well. Just thought that after 200000 miles it decided to poop out on me anyways.
Found this site that shows what I have (dealing with a dodge albeit), so maybe I am okay.
