Hey guys,

I have had a hard time getting my tires balanced at two different Discount Tires. They use an adaptor that is designed to work on Toyota lug centric designs, but it has not done well on my truck and I can't get my 265/70 Pirelli Scorpions.

Does anyone know of a shop in San Diego that carries the Hawkea adaptor?

i don't know anything about the hawkea adaptor but give these guys a call...

I have gone to Toyota Lexus Care in Kearny Mesa and they have done a good job with my tires.

You must have been reading up on Gadget's website. I checked my local toyota dealership and they didn't have it. I think the adapter itself is like $30-$60. I asked if they would buy one since its rather cheap, and they said its not worth it to them (i don't blame them).

It is the only thing that I can think of causing the "wub wub wub" sound I have when going down the road. At 70 it starts getting a "speed wobble."

Also try call KM Toyota in Kearny Mesa, maybe they have an adaptor (either way they too were able to balance two different sets of tires for me)
