I have a set of sport wheels I'm going to powder coat black. Then I won't have to worry about the paint flaking or chipping.
A place near here does 4 wheels sandblasted and powder coated for $130. Every color too, but black is the one.

I have never seen anyone paint the sport wheels either so make sure you post some pics when you are done.
