Hard start when engine warm/hot (long/detailed)

I had similar issues with my '88 3.0L pickup. Warm restarts after about 15 to 20 minutes resulted in rough hesitation, sometimes stalling. It drove me crazy. Anyway, that issue is now moot, since I sold my 88 pickup (and '87 4Runner) just this week. My new ride is a '95 22R-E 4Runner. I've heard that these are rare birds.
