Grey (red/blue) wire mod ABS light

Grey (red/blue) wire mod ABS light
I completed the mod and it works, but now my ABS light is on all the time...what would have caused this?

Correct,I clipped the red and blue wire, grounded the end that leads to the harness to the side where the other two wires are grounded.the other clipped end was just left hanging

I guess I can try hooking it back up to the original wire to see if the light stays on then...
However, before I did this the light was not on, and the problem didn't start until I cut the blue wire with red stripe and connected the tail leading from the harness to ground.

I'm a big confused about which side of the cut wire you grounded.
The wiring comes from the dash area to the 4WD control unit in the left kick panel. You ID the correct wire (colors can vary), then cut and ground the wire leading to the control unit, not the one leading back into the dash area. That one you just leave alone.
That circuit grounds when the transfer case goes into low range, which (in addition to making the locker available) disables the ABS. So it's very possible that grounding that side of the wire isn't telling the locker control unit it's OK to go, it's telling the ABS system to disable.

I ran a ground wire to the side of the blue/red wire that runs into the harness and plugs into the module.
The locker locks in 2hi, 4hi, and 4lo...but the abs light is always on....
I'm assuming since the locker is actually locking ing different modes that I have it wired correctly...?

I'd assume so. As long as the wire that goes the other way back into the dash area isn't grounded in any way.
Again. all I can say is it worked perfectly when I tried it. And as they say, when everything goes well, you don't learn anything new.

Ok, another bit of information.
I connected the wire as it was from the factory and the ABS light did not go off.
I also tried putting a jumper between e1 and tc on the under hodd diganose port to see if the ABS light would flash...it didnt, it stayed steady the whole time.
Anyone have any ideas that I could try, or ideas what it might be?

OK, another update, I pulled the short pin out of the diagnosis port and then jumped the tc and e1...I get flash flash flash all at the same interval. Would this be code 30?

I think that's 33&34, indicating both rear wheels having a speed sensor signal malfunction. Ideas anyone? I was having no problem before the mod, now I can't get the light to go off...(i tried reconnecting the wire as it came from the factory to the harness)
