Got My HID's Installed

So I received my CNlight HID kits today and I installed the H4's but I'll have to wait until I order the Hella Micro DE's for my driving lights before I can install the H3's. I went with a special color, QB(Dark Blue) and I am very pleased. Here are the pics, let me know what you guys think..

Here's the thread from where I got them:

Thank god you got the ricer color that puts out less visible light than a halogen bulb. Might as well have a candle bolted to the front of your "truck"

It's actually a lot brighter than any halogen bulb, believe me. If you're going to insult my ride, please use a little intelligence, you've never used these lights so there's no way of knowing if they are brigter than any halogen bulb, dumbass.

Yeah I'm aware of that, these actually don't put off that bad of a glare. I do plan on doing the projector retrofit sometime in the futue.

Hey man, to tell you the truth, I have always loved that look on cars... I myself had some of those cheap-o blue bulbs in my 4Runner before I did my retrofit, so that said, I love how it looks, BUT just from your pictures I can tell there is some pretty nasty glare. Plus blue is just about the worst color for glare because of how the human eye picks up that wavelength. Since you are planning on doing a projector retro AND since you are hundreds of miles away from me, I won't get mad at ya

Could you post some wall pics so we can get an idea of how the cutoff looks?

Personally I think it's icky, but it definitely goes with the whole impractical look you have going (not sarcasm).

There aare alot of people who have hard on's for projectors. If you are aware, you would know there are alot of newer vehicles that have FACTORY HID systems that don't use projectors. I have been keeping track over the past month whether a vehicle with HID's use projectors or not and about 90% of them don't as far as toyota/lexus/acura go. AS long as you upgrade your headlights to the 99-02 style and use a quality HID kit, I think they are just fine. I don't think anyone here should bash anyone else for not using projectors. As long as its done right who cares. My kit is being delivered today so I will post up pics this weekend when I get them in. (5000K bulbs in mine) Looks good FO!

I currently have a Philips (4100k) HID set-up in my stock housings. They are shielded very well with little glare and are very bright (it wasn't cheap). The only reason I'm going to projectors, is because since the housing was not designed for HIDs, the cut-off is not as clean and it does have hot spots. GOOD shielding is the key if you opt for an HID kit and staying with an OEM bulb.

I talked about this in a previous thread. I noticed Escalades, Prius, Acura CL, MAxima, and others that don't use a projectors.

They look great. The only reason I don't have them is that they seem to be cop magnets as they usually come on sports cars or more expensive cars.
