Good time for manual hub install?
I found grease all over the driver's side outer cv boot (my 94) two days ago. Allthough I can't quite find the hole/cut it must be there b/c I don't think it would just randomly leak and make noises (random scraping sound at high speeds).
Anyway, Autozone has the reman halfshaft for 66 plus tax w/ core so I figured that lifetime warranty is the way to go.
Question 1: I still haven't found a great writeup on the halfshaft removal process. I did find some bits and pieces searching that should get me through but I just wondered if somebody had a file w/ directions handy for a PM?
Question 2: Is this a good time to put on manual locking hubs? I plan on doing this in the next couple of months so would it make it easier with it torn apart to do this now?
Thanks people.

installing the half shaft isnt that hard. you do have to take off the hubs..so yes do them while you are changing you axle shaft. after taking off the hubs, you need to take off the o ring holding the axle shaft in place. then take off the six bolts on the inside and take it out. you might have to move your a arm up and down to get it to slide in. i also took off my shock to help me out a little. it took me about 2 hours to do..but i had to stop a lot for a drink..the hot sun in FL will heat you up pretty bad.
