hey guys, can you tell me how to use this? i have read that its much better than seafoam but not sure on how to use it.. do you use it via the pcv valve like seafoam? thanks

i dont know. never bought it.. funny thing, the chevy parts guys dont know how to use it and they were to busy to ask a tech... go figure.

I did a Yahoo search and found some of the LS1 guys use it and give instructions on their forums.

the instructions are???? damn, i just want a straight answer. i have searched gm top end cleaner and notta. hence the reason why i am asking here. the subject has been brought up before so this isnt new

since i do worry about hydrolock unlike these guys.. couldnt i administer this thru the pcv valve with the truck running like seafoam correct?

in their instructions they say poor the last amount in the pcv and let the engine die.. wouldnt that cause hydrolock in our vehicles??

That is how SeaFoam is normally used when you read threads on here. You let the PCV suck it in and then let it sit. When you restart it's a smoke show. SeaFoam is safe to add to engine oil, so it won't hydrolock. I'm assuming the GM is the same way.

well thats just it, seafoam is NOT like GM top end cleaner as stated in your links. Seafoam is oil based and Top end cleaner is not. so it is different.. Also if you do the research, it is not ideal to add seafoam to your crankcase (oil) bc it will vastly thin the oil therefore inhibiting your oil to do its job like it is supposed to. (info available on Bitog)... i think you have hydrolocking a little different. from what i was told (now correct me if i am wrong) you do not allow seafoam to choke your motor off nor do you stick your pcv tube in the bottle bc it wont allow air to suck thru causing hydrolock. in your links those guys are inserting the tube into the cleaner fully and allowing the motor to choke off..
