can anyone tell me the rear diff gear ratio on a 1992 surf ,turbo diesel 2.4 ssr-x please.

If its like the american brethern it ain't that easy.
We have a few more questions....
look on your door plate information sheet.

It has a letter and number code of the differential right before the transmission code. (a letter {F-L} followed by three numbers)
Luckly these numbers are the last two groups on my info plate.
Mine: G072

post those and we will see if I have the answer.

Diff gearing

The only true way of telling is to drop the pumpkin cover and count the teeth on both the ring and pinion gear. This is per a certified A-Man technician for Toyota of Richardson.

What cover?

You can also jack up one wheel and spin it 10 rotations and count how many rotations the driveshaft makes. A little math, divide by twenty since one wheel is on the ground, and no spilled oil.
