Fuel leak???
Everytime i turn off the runner (2nd gen v6) i can smell fresh gas coming from what seems like the passenger side (outside the truck). I replaced the fuel filter a couple weeks ago but he smell was there before i did it. I've been under it so many times to try to see the leak but am having no luck. Does anybody know of any problem spots or if there is an accumulator or anything else inline that could be sweating?
As always, Thanks in advance.
Keith.

I'm not the sharpest wrench in the drawer, but I've had the same issue, so I searched, and found that there is a seal of some sort around the upper gas tank area that blows back some fumes, after the engine is shut off. I'm assuming that this is the back pressure remaining in the fuel system. These fumes are 'supposed' to be collected and vented to the charcol cannister.
However, not being satisfied by that explanation, I took a look for myself. There is a little hatch under the right rear passenger seat that you can remove to access this area. When I removed mine, I found that I had a fuel line with a small leak, caused by rubbing. Took out the bad piece, flared the ends, and replaced it with regular gas line. If you do this just make sure the line can hold at least 50 psi, as the fuel pump pressure is somewhere around 35 psi. Worked for me...
