Found hole in bed..rust
I have 95 Tacoma and it had a bedliner in it and today I decided to remove it and I found a rust hole about the size of a golf ball.
I had wire wheeled it and sprayed it with rust seize and painted it.
How should I fix it? I was thinking riviting a peice of metal and sealing it with silicone.
Any ideas??
Thank you.

I'm surprised that is the only place with rust! I had a 89 dodge PU that had a bedliner factory installed that was rusted everywhere.
What do you want to spend, what are you willing to live with?
Riveting will work for a while, but the silicone will eventually fall out. To fix it properly yer gonna need to get a piece of metal welded in by a decent welder.
You are on the right track wuth the wire wheele and rust stop paint. But the paint will have to come off if your gonna weld it.
Do whatever you can afford, you gotta live with it.
