forgot head hexbolt. Have to take back appart?
i recently replaced the passemger side head on my 97 tacoma. anyways after getting it all back togather i have realized i forgot to install that "hidden" hexbolt that goes from head to block. so i was wondering if i could leave that out or if i had to pull it all back appart to put that seemingly usless bolt in. thanks for your help in advance.

I have no clue as to what you're even talking about (as I have yet to rip apart any engine), but I doubt if you talked to a Toyota engineer, he'd say: "oh, yeah, that meaningless bolt, you don't need it. In fact, we just threw that on there because we had an extra bolt laying around"
This is one of those moments you wish didn't happen, and just have to come to the realization that a bolt missing in the engine probably isn't the best thing. I'd say, as a spectator, to bite the bullet and get that bolt in there.
Now, if there's someone who can offer this poor soul some helpful advise, chime away! Good Luck buddy!

Sounds like you're talking about that one lone bolt on the end of each head. If it is the same as mine then it's because there is a large coolant passage right there. Without that bolt I doubt it will seal for too long.
