Fender Flare options
Ok, I have searched the boards and not found a specific answer to my needs, I have a 98 4runner with running boards, and chrome fender "flares" I know that not many people here like running boards but I am getting old and have short legs to begin with, so I need them. What are my options to putting black flares in place of the chrome without removing running boards?

CHROME flares? Never seen that before. Sure you don't have just chrome fenderwell trim and no flares? Chrome trim on the flares? (Just free-associating here...)
Bushwacker does make flares compatible with the running boards. Here's one link:

I think that's why he quoted the "flare" part.
If the Bushwackers aren't your taste (I had 'em on my '97 and they were nice) then see if you can find somebody selling their stock SR5 flares.
