Engine 'plops' - Continued
I got weird plopping sounds from the engine compartment when I pulled away from a full stop. Sometimes it plopped, sometimes it didn't. When it did, the car sort of stalled and then it plopped. It would hardly move until I pushed the pedal to the floor.
After I mixed a tank of fuel with a bottle of Gunk Carburetor & Injector Cleaner I had the last plop halfway the tank. I mixed another bottle of Gunk with the next tank to really clean up, since the car is a bit old (1993) and not very well looked after by it's previous owners. No more stalling and plopping!

May want to get in and clean up the throttlebody with some TB cleaner and a rag / old toothbrush, then a general tuneup if you haven't already.
Got a good start on it!

Basically it helps "clear the airways" and allows smoother operation of the butterfly valve and other moving components.
It's a tuneup kind of thing to do.
May help your throttle responce a bit too.
