Question ECT auto transmission issue

The ECT option doesn't function any more.....the light doesn't come on nor does the tranny shift any different when the ECT switch is activated.....could this be just an unplugged wire? If so where is a likely place to check?

Looking at the electrical diagrams in the Haynes manual, I don't think it's fused. Now that this hurricane is gone, I'm gonna trace some wiring......any other input is appreciated.

I think that since the ECT is purely an electrical function (ie. just changes the shifting pattern) that it might be a bad switch?
