E-locker issues

So to my dismay it seems that my rear e-locker has stopped working completely. This is on an 04 tacoma, 5vz-fe. The button still lights up and the blinking indicator still appears inside the instrument panell, but the rear end is definately still open and allows slippage of one tire only most of the time when the locker is engaged. Is their a soldenoid that could be jammed up or an electronic actuator that could be at fault? Anybody have a wiring diagram of the Elocker setup or some advice?

if the light keeps blinking, that means its not engaged. try slowing to a stop, reversing, or turning in an "S" motion. if not, then idk

yea, sorry forgot to mention it is in 4low when i try to use it. I still havent got the light to turn solid, so far i have just tried moving back and forth after engaging it at a stop on relatively level ground. I havent tried the S movement yet though. I will play with it more tommorrow and see what i can do. Anybody have any other suggestions or know what components are involved that could potentially be broken?

I think the problem was something to do with the temperature. Today i parked in a parking lot and put it in 4 low and the locker engaged imediately when i pressed the button. I think perhaps since it was in icey water and snow in temperatures well bellow zero for so long, and since the alternator died later that day it was just unable to actuate

may want to pull out the actuator, and test the button. see if the gear turns freely when you toggle on/off. there may be some gunk etc up in there thats preventing the fork from sliding and locking the spiders

Yea, next week after finals are over im pulling my axle again to change out the backing plate as it is badly bent. While im at it i will just pull the whole 3rd member and give it a good once over to see if there is any sludge in there, id hope not since the breather is all the way up at the bedrail lol. Is the actuator itself completely sealed inside the differential? If there is any way that water could have entered it im sure it could have frozen something causing the problem. ill look at it more next week, like i said thanks for the replys
