E-locker actuator cleaning

Hey guys i picked up an elocker for pretty cheap but the actuator was pretty frozen. Upon opening it up it had been pretty waterlogged, anyone got any good tips for cleaning the corrosion out of these things? I found the pdf on how to take it apart and put it back together, but if anyone has any additional advice on rebuilding these little buggers it would be much appreciated.

And be careful taking it apart, that aluminum housing is fragile. /Captain Obvious

I also wonder is painting it inside and out with aluminum primer wouldn't be a good idea.

Any suggestions on what grease to use putting it back together? regular lithium? paying $50 for the toyota doesn't seem worth it.
