E brake cable broke in 95 4x4, any tips?
Sitting in traffic yesterday I pulled my ebrake and and hit my elbow on the rear wall of my cab.
Checked it out after and found that it broke right where the front part attaches to the first spring point. Just behind the doors
I think the part is dealership only.
Thought about crimping it back together with another piece of cable graphed in.
Anyone have any advice on how to fix this well and cheap.
Thanks
Dan

That is a dealership only item unless you would trust a used one. Crimping it back together is a temporary solution at best. I've been through the whole scenario, and it takes some patience to get the new cable installed. Good luck.

This happened to me when I got mad and didn't want to get out to lock the hubs when I got stuck in the snow in my driveway... I have a temper when it comes to stupid things like that. I snapped my cable at the handle cause I got pissed and yanked it.
Anyway the cable if i remember right is about 60-70$ from Jay Mark's toyota. The Routing the cable isn't hard, the pain is getting the cable into the handle itself. The biggest annoyance from the whole thing is the mud and other debris fallin in the eyes. I would wear a pair of saftyglasses cause it gets annoying after a while.
