Dual t-case options

I have an 89 4Runner, and I just picked up the drivetrain out of a 99 4Runner; 2.7l motor and A340F tranny. I want to swap both into my 1st gen, and add dual cases in the process, but I'm trying to decide if all that's in the budget. I've identified a number of different courses of action I can take, and I'd like some advice as to what would be best in the long run.

First option: just bite the bullet and do it right all at once. The obvious drawback is it costs money. LOTS of money. Like $2-3K counting crossmember and driveshaft mods for a tranny that hasn't even been rebuilt. I don't know if I can afford it, but if I could, is it worth it to do it all at once up front?

Second option, run just one gear-drive t-case with the passenger-side drop tail housing. My concern with this is if I set everything up for a single case, can I easily add a second case later? Will the original driveshafts work with the single case or will I have to mod them, and if I mod them for the single case, will they work if I add a second case? What about the xmember?

Will this even work with what I'm trying to do? Will I be able to use the triple sticks, or more importantly, will I be able to run a passenger-drop tail housing?

More generally, is there any crossmember available for an automatic beside the FROR one? Not to thrilled with welding in the mounts. I'd almost rather use THIS and build my own crossmember that I can bolt in with square u-bolts around the frame, but I'm concerned about getting the dimensions right.

Of course, the last option is to forget the dual cases for now and just bolt the 3RZ up to my current A340H. I'm not sure how the wiring would work out this way, as the TCU on the A340F seems to be integrated into the ECU. It's a separate unit on my truck with the A340H.

Nevertheless, if B and C don't work out, this may be they way it has to go. I'm kinda brainstorming here, and I need some advice about which route to take. I know this is the place to get it!

Save up and do it right the first time. So much less hassle than pulling it apart a 2nd time.
