Driving difference with locking hubs?

I just installed locking hubs and now when they are set to Free i feel the road alot more. the bumps are more noticeable and everything i use to not feel that much feels like its 2x as sensative.

Is this normal?

Doesn't seem right. Changing to manual hubs didn't change anything that would do that. Same tires, studs, bearings, suspension etc. No reason for it to feel different as far as ride quality or road noise.

When I put mine on I had thought it might change the steering feel or give me more mileage, but it didn't. I can feel no difference whatsoever.
