Don't Hate me for this Thread.... Tires and Wheels...

Alright, I know this has been talked about to death but I just can't seem to find the Wheels that I want. I've seen pics of some that I like but I have no idea make or model of them. I've tried multiple tire \ wheel sites trying to get ideas and I'm not finding anything that I like. What I'm looking for is this....

Perfer a 17" matte black wheel that's eye catching, but not getto flashy.
here is a pic of something that I would be interested in (wheel, not tire):
http://www.tirepackage.com/partlists...60&ptID=100004

As for the tire, I want the Kumho Rd Venture MT KL71 but they don't seem to have a 17". So if I drop back down to the 265/75-16s, everyone have them backordered (which isn't bad yet, I'm not going to buy them till spring).
https://www.tiresavings.com/tireShop...T+KL71&season=

Now, that link with the Kumho tires, have a pretty nice wheel in the picture with them. WHAT IS IT? I like that look also, but I can't find a wheel that's close to that anywhere.

If I go to sites and search wheels by car type, I get very few options and none that I REALLY like. am I stuck with those options, or what?

I have a few months to plan this, but I don't want to wait to the last minute and get stuck with something I'm not happy with.

BTW. My runner isn't lifted nor will it be anytime soon. From what I read, 265/75-16 or 265/70-17 should fit (they equate to 31.6x10.4)

Throw some ideas my way (another thing... I can't find anyone who sells Kumhos up in Alaska. The last set I had shipped from TireRack for $112. I checked them for these Kumhos I listed above and they want somethink like $230 now.)

Any help in pointing me in the right direction would be great! Thanks Guys (and Ladies if you're out there)!

The wheels in the first link that you posted are Pro-Comp 7089's and are not available in 17".
Here are some 17" Pro-Comps on 255/75's

Here are some more Pro-Comp wheels to consider:

4 wheel parts!

go check out 4wheelparts.com...they have quite a bit of wheels over there...all kinds too...thats where im going to end up getting my rock crawlers from..main reason im getting them is cuz they are black...im painting mine with some wheel paint as soon as it gets back to oreily's...then i will decide on whether or not im getting them or not.

That wheel is a Pro-Comp 7089 (Xtreme Alloys Series).
They can be purchased here: http://www.4wheelcustoms.com/Products.asp?Cat=31

yes, 265/75-16 or 265/70-17 will fit. I currently have 265/70-17's with '99 springs. You may experience a slight drop in gas millage and power but they will look a lot better than your factory tire size.

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! Those are the ones I've been looking for! And to top it off they're cheaper then some of the others I've considered. Out of these listed:

http://www.tirepackage.com/partLists...35&ptID=100073

I should be looking at this version, right?
http://www.tirepackage.com/PDT64824.aspx

Toys use the 6-5.5 lug pattern, right?

Now for tires.... My search continues. I'm going to be lazy. If I get the wheels online, I'm getting the tires mounted with them and shipped right to my door. I wont be bugging you guys about that. I know what I want there. But if I can't get the Kumhos, I can settle for something else. But if anyone wants to throw their 2 cents in on this topic, I would sure listen to you.

Thanks again everyone!

If I get this package from TirePackage.com, I think I'll go with the Nitto Terra Grappler LT265/75R16s. From my calculations, that would be one inch taller then stock. Shouldn't rub anything and not so big that they suck the power out of the engine.

http://www.tirepackage.com/prodDetai...tNo=NIT200-010

Now from their selection, I see two kinds. One rated for 3000 lbs and the second 3415 lbs. Only a few $$ seperate the two. They're so close, I wouldn't notice a huge ride difference between the two, would I?

i'd go with the terra grapplers to over them other tires you showed. i've only heard good things about the TG's and i plan to also upgrade to that size in them when i need new tires.

Hi,

I was comparing the prices of the wheels (pro-comp and AR/WR) at tirepackage.com and I noticed that the AR/WR wheels are priced substantially higher than the pro-comp wheels. Both the AR/WR and pro-comp wheels are forged alloys. What's the reason for this huge price difference?

Also, is it true that the pro-comp wheels are made in china? If it, that could be the reason for the price diff.

Here's an other option:

I also love the Moto Metal 951, but I haven't looked into weather or not it fits the 4Runner.

If they are from China, think they will have recalls for lead paint like all the Christmas Toys? Though my two daughters are old enought to not go out and chew on my wheels so I shouldn't worry none.... LOL
