The upper tank on my brother's 03 Tacoma V6 split open, so I had him order up a Koyo C1755 for it. It showed up on Friday in a TYC box. The TYC number is 1755, but I was under the impression Koyo was their own company and made their stuff in Japan rather than China. Can anyone tell me whether they just sent me the wrong one or if Koyo is really just made by TYC and re-branded? Or perhaps, Koyo makes TYC?

Here is a link from Koyo's website on where their radiators are made....mostly China and Indonesia.

I have no idea if Koyo is making the TYC branded or vice-versa.

Yeah, I came across that info on their website. I can't find anything anywhere though that says KOYO makes TYC or vice versa. I'm gonna call the place I ordered it an see what's up. I was diappointed to see that KOYO's aftermarket replacement stuff is made in China. Oh well.

Ok, I finally figured out what the deal was with the radiator I ordered. Go-parts didn't have any KOYO's in stock so they just sent me a TYC/Genera one instead with out asking me if I wanted it. They didn't know when any new ones would be available, so I got a shipping label and sent it back. Found another place that happened to be local and they got me the right part. I put it in over the weekend and all is well again.
