Thats because Toyota built that motor with boost in mind. Same thing with the 2003-2004 SVT Mustang Cobra, its supercharged from Ford, and people are making over 600RWHP on the stock motor.

Yeah, the 302 rods are decently strong, but the pistons arnt as strong, plus its just a general good idea to upgrade.

reliability theory says more parts or components in a system = reduced reliability. one of the biggest reasons why i didnt s/c since i drive over 500 miles a week.
