I was at the junkyard today for $15 I got a spare TPS and a nice almost new looking interlock switch I also pulled a whole cap and rotor and the coil from 91 4 runner they are at least 8mm wires unsure who makes them the cap says denso the coil is a toyota. I put it on it does seem like there is a alot more spark I can actually tell the difference between these and the stock wires.

So my question is who makes it? The cap and boots are not the standard ones with the plastic locks they can use regular wires but the coil has a very large lock for the wire on top of it. I'll have to take pictures of it. So far I like the difference compared to the stock ones.

Update the wires themselves look to be 8MM and have the name Yazaki on them and it looks like a date of 1999.

The only issue is the one side of the cap doesn't line up with the hole all the rest of the holes line up though. I could just drill a hole and tap it if i wanted it to fit perfectly on there.

Excuse my blurry crappy cam but they are actually thicker than what is on there. Hey you can kind of see the shinny new fender on that side too.

I'm sorry, but I never buy Wires from a Boneyard! OEM Toy wires are very reliable & last a long time! These wires, you don't know when they were replaced...! I haven't seen to many Aftermarket wires that live up to there reputation! I seen it all to often where people replace there wires with Autozone, Shucks.., what have you & soon they develop a miss..!
I just a bought a set of Toy wires for $52.00, definitely worth the money!
They last a long time! The ones you got are cosmetic, It looks like a nice size gap between the cap & wire, there's your power loss!

That's fine that's your opinion and I respect that. The fact is when you buy a used vehicle you get used parts at least that's how I see it. Who cares they aren't brand new as long as it is in good shape it would probably work like it was new.

The ones I have shown the blue ones were the stock wires I had on there when I rebuilt the engine. I think those are cosmetic they are made by NGK they are 5MM core wires supposedly low resistance. I paid about $40 for them. Also I have corrosion of the spark points happening under that orange distributor cap constantly for some reason and that was replaced 6 months ago.
I'll see how these wires go and if they aren't a issue I will keep them if not a biggie I'll just go back to the stock ones.


Also I did put the stock airbox back on I was tired of monkeying trying to get it to run correctly with the cone airfilter.

Didn't mean to offend you or anything! The best thing to do is to buy yourself a multimeter, (<$20 @ Wal-Mart) Ohm them out and you can tell if they are good or what not! I run an ACCEL Coil, makes a big diff, in my opinion!
