Did I get the correct Amsoil Gear Oil?

I just wanted to make sure that I got the correct gear oil for the front and rear diff and the transfer case.

I found Amsoil local so I got it instead of the Redline gear oil.

Thanks

Yeah, that's it.

I replaced all my gear oil with Amsoil when I bought my truck, including the transmission. I later changed it out for Redline MT90 in the transmission due to the notchy shifting. You didn't state transmission in your post, but I just thought I would mention it in case you have a manual.

The reason I didn't post about the transmission is because I'm getting a deal on the BG tranny flush and refilling with the BG synthetic tranny fluid.

I found it at Vic Hubbard. They have a website Vichubbard.com, but I don't believe that they sell it online though.

I replaced all the fluids in my truck to synthetics also-- all Amsoil expect the motor oil-- Using Mobil 1

You have the correct weight/grade gear oil for the front diff. and transfer case--75w-80

The specs for the rear Diff. is 80w-90 but the 75w should work fine...

Here is everything that is in mine...

Transmission 16.0 Quarts ATF D-II or Dexron III Amsoil Synthetic Universal ATF ATF-QT
Transfer Case 1.1 Quarts SAE 75W-90, Gear Oil API GL-4 or GL-5 Amsoil Synthetic 75W-90 AGR-QT
Front Differential 1.2 Quarts SAE 75W-90, Hypoid Gear Oil API GL-5 Amsoil Synthetic 75W-90 AGR-QT
Rear Differential 2.6 Quarts SAE 80W-90, Hypoid Gear Oil API GL-5 Amsoil Synthetic 80W-90 AGL-QT

I bought it locally at Vic Hubbard as stated above. They don't appear to sell it online try calling them to see if they would ship it out to you.

The rear diff is 80-90 but according to other post that I have read Toyota does that because of dino oil not being as good as Syn oils. Most people that switched over to Amsoil use 75-90 gear oil

heres a stupid question. So how much of the gear lube do most people buy?? It looks as though if i get a gallon of the gear lube it should cover the front& rear diff & the transfer case. its for a 99 4runner

I put 2.6 or so quarts int he rear diff alone. Get about 2 gallons to be safe.
