decoding my vehicle info
My code is A03A. means A=7.5 : 03=4.10 : A= 2 pinion. All the locker info i find is for 8" ring gears for the rear and 7.5 for the front. Do i have a 7.5 rear?
or are all of them 8"? I thought they were all 8s, oh yeah its a 1997 4 runner,auto,4x4 thanks

3rd Gen rear end gears.
If you got that info from here, I believe the 3rd Gens is wrong. This link is much more complete and accurate. It doesn't reference any Info. Plate numbers from the drivers door jam, but it accurately explains which rear ends came with each generation. Steve's page is also a huge help.
Confusion seems to surround this topic every time it comes up. Especially when the 8" vs 8.4" is thrown in. I've called Eaton numerous times over the span of a couple years, and every time one of their reps tries to tell me my '01 has a 8.4" rear end, which I've confirmed it doesn't.

You have a 8", not a 7.5".
