Darn Drunk Drivers
Well the runner needs to go back into the shop....Seems a drunk driver used it as a target last night when my wife was driving. All I have to say is Honda Civic 0 Toyota 4Runner 1
To make things worse, she decided that sticking around was optional, so she bolted, unfortunately for her, someone who knew our vehicle handed my wife the ladies License Plate Number
Anyhow, the wife is fine, said she hardly felt it...As far the lady, she was arrested for DUI, Hit and Run, and giving false information.
Looks like it is time for that rear tire carrier!!!

Sorry to hear that Mike.
I hate drunk drivers with a passion.
But that is how I ended up with my 4Runner.
The woman who hit me had no insurance, no licence, and was stoned out of her mind.
Glad your wife is OK, and I am glad the woman got caught too.
Hoping your Runner will be as good as new again.

Thank God she was ok. My dad got hit by a drunk driver as well at ~1400hrs about a year ago. Thankfully he was ok for the most part. Again glad she's ok.
Now, am I alone in the feeling that drunk drivers should have their license revoked for life, no exceptions?

My dad was killed by a drunk driver.
It took over three years to get the killers ass tossed into jail. Oh while he was out he got another DWI. The part that frustrated me the most is that he had been busted several times for DWI. (even the week before, when he nearly ran over a cop) The shmuck hit my dad at 70 mph in a 30, with a blood alchohol of 1.8 four hours after the wreck. The trial was a circus with the shmuck going thru 2 lawers, 2 different judges, and even the fatal heart attack of a witness for the defence while in court.
It was really f#@(ed up!!!!
Most judges don't do what they are supposed to do when it comes to sentencing. Last week the local paper listed the people who were convicted of DWI, of the 7 only one was sentenced to 3 years the rest were all suspended sentences. Oh yeah the convictions were for 3rd and 4th offence DWI.
Mike, I'm very glad your wife is ok.

A few months back we had a woman judge who got busted for a DWI, and she should have been thrown off the bench.
But noooooooo, I think she went through rehab.
Some other WA. state people on here know the case I'm referring too.

Yup, know exactly what you're talking about. The intersection where it happened is a block away from my Apt. in Magnolia. A good citizen basically drove around her (on a very dangerous hill with blind curve) and blocked her in, went over, and grabbed the keys out of the ignition. It was crazy!

Glad your wife is ok Mike. In my morbid curiousity I was wondering if you had any pics? I am curious to see how the 4Runner faired vs the Civic now that I know everyone is ok.

No Mike, sorry for the confusion. I was asking Mad Chemist. My sister lives in Seattle and had a little "incident" where she tried to take off and they grabbed her keys from her ignition.
She has a "Russian-rebuild" black Civic.

96,
Sorry, I was confused- the person who pulled the keys was a guy, it was a woman who was loaded, she was prominent judge in Seattle, sounds like she basicall got a slap on the wrist.
