crank shaft bolt

I'm replacing my timing belt. Which way do you turn the crank shaft bolt to remove it on a 2002 v6 tacoma, to the passenger side of the truck or drivers side?

Thank you

Same way as other normal thread bolts, anticlockwise when looking at the engine from the front.

Yeah, they're very hard to loosen. If you have an impact wrench try that. If not you can try using the starter. Get a 24" breaker bar and a deep 6-point socket, put the socket on the bolt with the bar under the passenger side frame rail. Then hit the starter for a second, you don't need much. Make sure the ignition system is disconnected first. That usually gets even the stubborn ones loose.

Right to tight and left to loose just like standard bolts.
Yes, it's on there VERY tight so make sure you retorque it properly when you're done too.
